Posted: August 15, 2016 by MOLLY J. McMAHAN
In Kentucky we are so fortunate to have several scenic drives that display so much this beautiful state has to offer.
Here are a couple that the Kentucky Board of Tourism promotes from their website:
- Midway_Versailles Road Hwy 62
- Old Frankfort Pike (from Frankfort to Lexington)
- River Road (Louisville)
- Shakertown Road
But these are by no means the only beautiful roads you can drive in Kentucky. Here are a few of our favorites:
- US Hwy 42 Prospect, Kentucky north to Cincinatti
Be sure to stop at Bray's Orchard near Sligo. - Dixie Highway from Southern Jefferson County to Fort Knox.
So many interesting stops and historic/ educational opportunities. - Bardstown Road (31E) from The Louisville Highlands, all the way to Bardstown Kentucky
- The Kentucky Bourbon Trail- Mix your day trip with your Kentucky Bourbon Education. Be sure to pick up your Bourbon Trail Passport at the Louisville Visitors Center!
