Now that you’ve passed your real estate exam, you have a critical decision of which brokerage to affiliate with.  In Kentucky, you have 60 days from passing your real estate exam to affiliate.  In Indiana, you have one year from passing your real estate exam to affiliate. 

When looking at different real estate companies, consider all aspects of what you will need to successfully launch your new real estate business.  Your first two years in the real estate industry is when you are learning how to start a business, grow a base of clients and list and sell homes.   As a new licensee, you should ask the real estate company about:  training, broker availability and office and marketing support for new sales associates.  Finally, you should ask if the company charges monthly fees.
