Incredible Branding

Last week I did a quick entry from my camera phone but the day has come.
My baby is getting braces.
We choose the “cool” place, where most everyone we know goes.
It was easy choice for the kid, they have an “Ortho Taxi” that will pick you up from school. It is a Hummer with an xbox inside. Who cares if the school is RIGHT ACROSS the freekin’ street.
Marketing, all marketing.
And this is the kind of stuff that reeled me right on in.
Look at the design. Anyone that has this good of taste in furnishings, has GOT to be a perfectionist when it comes to my kids teeth. All the beautiful people in large 30 x 30 black and white prints through out the building didn’t hurt either.
This is the office where they tell you just how much work your kids mouth needs. That awesome black chair over there…that is where your precious baby sits while the Orthodontist tells the assistant the issues, she promptly logs them in to her super cool computer (every computer there is a Mac) and before the dude is out the office door, I have an estimate and payment options in my hand.
Before I have time for the words or the images to leave my mind. Wow, have you ever LOOKED in your kids mouth when someone has it all opened up? I had no idea. I thought we only had two teeth that were an issue.
Yeah, not so much just the two.
Not enough room here, to much room there.
Oh but this post isn’t about his teeth, it is about the awesome office!
See that Mac?
The Vizio that has my son’s less than perfect mouth blown up to about 100%?
Oh and this gets both the mom and the kid.
”When your treatment is complete, you get to sign our wall of fame!”
And of course both of us noticed about 500 kids we knew. I wondered who the first kid was, where did he sign and by the time my kid gets to sign the wall, will they be writing in the cool office, because it looks like ya’ll are runnin’ out of room.
And this would be the place where they let the kid pick out a shirt, EVEN if they don’t end up getting braces there. (The kid goes to get the shirt while mama is finding out just how much that shirt and a little metal is gonna cost her)
In all honesty, it doesn’t matter how much it cost. And all of these bells and whistles are nice, but it comes straight down to this mans reputation.
EVERY SINGLE PERSON I know who has gone to him LOVES HIM, Loves the people who work for him and the service they provide.
I did not get that from the other orthodontists we were considering. In every case i got at least one “no complaint” (which really ISN’T a compliment people). I even had one person say they LEFT their orthodontist and had treatment finished somewhere else. OUCH!
How does this relate to your real estate business?
Simple.
From the time we entered the door until well after we left, it was all about the brand. (The shirt they gave him has been worn 3 times already)
The Hummer, the reception area, the way patients sign in (none of that ragged cut paper asking for your name, date, who you are seeing, what time, has your insurance changed-nope, they log in on a computer).
Every single detail drips the brand/image.
And then Dr. Taylor and his staff follow up with incredible service.
